An eighth grade science teacher when he is wearing his gi, Tom was drawn to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu after watching just on UFC fight! Tom is currently a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu purple belt under Professor George Sernack. Tom can be seen training several times per week as well as teaching the 100 Days Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class on Monday nights. He shares his love of Jiu Jitsu with his son Noah, also a student at Real World Mixed Martial Arts.
I've been involved in the martial arts for much of my life, and been practicing BJJ for quite a while- I can say without any hesitation that RWMMA is one of the absolute best academies I've come across. The facility is clean and welcoming. Perhaps most importantly, the students and culture of RWMMA are fantastic - everyone is respectful to each other, while still providing the right amount of competitive spirit.

In my honest opinion this is the best place you will find in the Morris County area and I can say that with the utmost confidence. No matter whether you're brand new to the wonderful world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or a seasoned veteran. I got my little sister and I involved this past year and we couldn't have been happier! Everyone is so nice, friendly, and professional. They're great with kids, older men and women, and people from all different backgrounds. It's competitively priced for what you will find comparitively and you just can't beat it. You get what you pay for and here you're getting very high quality. Both BJJ and Muay-Thai at a value with the official Gracie name and the prime location right in the heart of Downtown Denville. Truthfully, you'd be hard pressed to find another place that offers what this place has, because at the end of the day it's about the people, all of which are great. Coaches Tom, Adam, Pablo, Frank, and Dave are tremendous coaches you will get to know well on a first name basis. You will be challenged and maybe if you're lucky or stick around long enough you'll also be able roll around with them too. Not to mention Vinnie the Academy Director and George the owner, they're the best! But don't take my word for it, go try it out and see for yourself if you're not entirely convinced.
